Game Rules: Golf (Darts)
Game Identity
- Name: Golf (Darts)
- Player Count: 2–8 players. Standard: 2–4.
- Teams: No teams (individual). Can be played as 2-person team match.
- Theme: Low-score darts game structured exactly like golf: 9 or 18 holes (rounds), where each "hole" targets a specific number on the board.
Scoring Mechanics
- Scoring Variant: Evasion — lowest cumulative score wins.
- Target Score: 9 or 18 rounds (fixed). Lowest total score after all holes wins.
- Unit of Scoring: Strokes per hole (1–5 depending on section hit).
- Lower vs. Higher: Lower is better.
Rules & Validation
Per-Hole Logic
- Hole number = Target number on the board (Hole 1 = segment 1, Hole 2 = segment 2, etc.).
- Each player throws 1 dart per hole.
- Scoring by section hit:
Section Hit Strokes (score) Bullseye (inner) 1 Outer Bull 2 Triple segment of that hole's number 2 Double segment of that hole's number 3 Single segment of that hole's number 4 Miss (any other segment) 5 - Lower strokes = better. Bullseye is a hole-in-one.
Validation Rules
- Score per player per hole: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.
- All players must throw for each hole before moving to the next.
Special Actions / Bonuses
- Hole in One: Hitting the inner bullseye = 1 stroke regardless of hole number.
- Triple (equivalent to Eagle): Hitting the triple of the target number = 2 strokes.
Win Conditions
- Condition: After 9 (or 18) holes, the player with the lowest cumulative stroke count wins.
- Tie-Breaker: Compare scores hole-by-hole from Hole 1 forward (stroke play tiebreaker). If still tied, sudden-death playoff holes.
