Game Rules: Chicago (Rotation)

Game Identity

• Name: Chicago (Rotation Dice)
• Player Count: 2–8 players. Standard: 3–6.
• Teams: No teams. All players compete individually.
• Theme: Simple dice game played over 11 rounds (sums 2 through 12). Each round, players score only if their roll matches the target number.

Scoring Mechanics

• Scoring Variant: Accumulative — scores grow over a fixed 11 rounds.
• Target Score: No score target — fixed 11 rounds. Highest total after all rounds wins.
• Unit of Scoring: Points per round (matching roll value, or 0 if no match).
• Lower vs. Higher: Higher score wins.

Rules & Validation

Per-Round Logic

• Round Numbers: Rounds run from 2 to 12 (the possible sums of two dice).
  • Round 1 = target sum 2, Round 2 = target sum 3, … Round 11 = target sum 12.
• Rolling: Each player rolls 2 dice on their turn.
• Scoring: If the player's dice total exactly equals the round's target number, they score that number of points. If not, they score 0.
  • Example: In Round 7 (target sum 7), rolling 3+4 scores 7 points. Rolling 2+3 scores 0.
• Validation Rules:
  • Score per player per round is either the target number or 0.
  • Total rounds is always 11.

Special Actions / Bonuses

• Chicago!: Rolling the target number exactly is informally called "Chicago." No extra bonus in the base game.
• Natural 7 rule (optional): Some variants award bonus points when 7 is rolled in any round (as 7 is the most probable sum).

Win Conditions

• Condition: After all 11 rounds (sums 2–12), the player with the highest cumulative score wins.
• Tie-Breaker: Tied players roll-off with 2 dice; highest sum wins. Re-roll ties.

Chicago (Rotation Dice) doesn't have a dedicated scorecard yet — track it for free using a general scorecard:

1. Tap New Scorecard and choose Paper Score (tracks all players each round in a grid)
2. Add 4 players (adjust as needed)
